Miyamoto at the BAFTAs, Pikmin 3 development "well under way"

Shigeru Miyamoto has received his BAFTA Fellowship at the 2010 British Academy Video Games Awards. The UK's Official Nintendo Magazine attended to cover the event, where Miyamoto told them development of the highly-anticipated Pikmin 3 is "well under way".

Good to know! Here's hoping it makes an appearance at this year's E3. Maybe demonstrated by Ravi Drums. NintenDaan has uploaded a few shots of Miyamoto at the event here.

The trophy base is covering his wrist so you can only see his fingers wrapping around the neck from behind.

A likely story. The truth is that Project HAMMER was canned because it would have given away Miyamoto's secret plans to cybernetically merge his hand with a BAFTA trophy so he can bop people on the head with it.

Well Pikmin 2 came out a while back, and I liked what I played of it. There would need to be some changes for me to purchase the game however...

I'd be happy with just another Nintendo-styled remix to be honest. No new pikmin, no new gadgets, just the same as before with more places to go.
And bring back the Dolphin.
