Box art roundup (7th - 13th of March)

Rising Star to the rescue. Slapping the Harvest Moon logo on Rune Factory's box is definitely smart, maybe more than four people will actually pay attention to it now! Looks like we're getting the exact same box art as America for No More Heroes 2. Aw, but I was rather partial to Travis copping a feel on the original game's PAL box.

That Emergency cover is outstanding. From the Word Art logo to everyone just calmy standing around doing nothing as the building burns down. Hopefully there's a special edition that comes with an action figure; pull the cord and you'd get five different yawning sound effects.

Nat Geo Quiz is headed to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as well! Amazing! They've actually changed the box art for each to show them playing with the different controllers, and, well...



Someone's not a big 360 fan!

Another quiet week for America and Japan, but here's Sin & Punishment 2! Man, that looks great. Almost as great as The Cages: Pro Style Batting Practice. Wait. Here's the original Japanese box art for Sin & Punishment. The new one is certainly more focused on what the game is actually about - shooting things. Big things. Possibly in the face.

Yeah, I love the S&P2 boxart but the blue typography looks mismatched.

Rune Factory Frontier, in all of its familial ties, looks so docile. Hah.

Hopefully they have a different boxart for the PAL version of Sin & Punishment 2 (that's not worse than it)...I'm not really liking the US version.

I think I died a little when I saw that OK! box. Then a little more two rows down - lifestyle shots as box art? Sigh. Lol'd at the xbox thing though :P


Also I think I like that S&P box better than the Japanese one.

While I'm all for the idea of Rune Factory getting more coverage and fanbase, the Harvest Moon logo seems to detract from the rest of the boxart somewhat. Maybe it's the different art-style compared to what the rest of the box uses.

It won't stop me getting the game though.

Oh man! That guy on the Nat Geo quiz box is too funny XD.

UGH! Why is there a video game of a womens' magazine D: Come on! If you're going to make a DS game of a magazine at LEAST make it something like Zoo or FHM :P

Wow, Rune Factory Frontier is only just coming out now? I imported the NTSC version and have had it for about a year now. Aside from the distracting Harvest Moon sticker, I prefer the look of the PAL boxart.

I like the look of both S&P2 boxarts too, although I might just prefer the original a little bit more (with both Isa and Kachi on the front). The US one has a soccer ball I CANNOT UNSEE! Rumor has it that Australia might not receive S&P2 due to poor VC sales of the original.
