Box art roundup (31st of January - 6th of February)

"But where was the roundup last Sunday?" It was nowhere, the greatest... where of them all. With only three new images released, I really didn't have much to work with. So I frowned, I frowned at the monitor until all these jpgs appeared on Amazon. Wait, where have I seen Racket Sports Party before?


Oh, right! Heh, well it's pretty smart thinking. It's been a long, long wait for MMV's Avalon Code in Europe and Australia (a year after America, two years after Japan) but it's nice to see Rising Star's toned down the background art just a bit. That takes time!

Also, Peppa Pig still scares the hell out of me. It's like their snout doubles as an ear, and who just puts a cake on the floor? Happy birthday, I sold all the furniture!


No, you're a dog! You would be a terrible teacher! 505 Games went crazy, all this box art appeared on the same day, and all the games are due out late March. Yeah America, enjoy that! A game about spring cleaning? Seriously? Are we really reduced to this for a video game idea? Holy crap. Hang on, Mean Girls? IS THAT A GAME BASED ON MEAN GIRLS? DIDN'T THAT MOVIE COME OUT SIX YEARS AGO? 505 Games, you deserve an award.

I'm assuming Pop Town is at least the same Pop Town they released in Europe last year, which is actually a pretty decent little rhythm game. Shame they've decided to ditch the artwork.


I remember when 505 Games used to focus on localising shoot 'em ups and obscure Simple 2000 games. My my, so much can change in one generation. That House artwork is also hilarious. I'd hang it on my front door.


I always enjoy the extreme length to the title of every Hitman Reborn! game. Man, that dog on the left of Kawaii Koinu DS3 looks like it's just a heaping blob of bubble bath. N'aaw, so cute!
