Scribblenauts hits a million copies worldwide

What's this, a news story about a third party game selling well on a Nintendo platform? That's a refreshing change! 5TH Cell's multi-award winning DS title Scribblenauts has now sold over a million copies worldwide since its launch last September.

"We are extremely pleased with the sales of Scribblenauts and credit the game's innovation and wide appeal in making it a hit with gamers of all skill levels," said Martin Tremblay, President, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. "Scribblenauts is one of our strong original brands, and we look forward to bringing consumers more quality gaming experiences as part of our portfolio game strategy."

And to think 5TH Cell struggled for years to find a publisher for their first project - Drawn to Life. Now look at them! Don't do it with binoculars through their bedroom window, though.

So Scribblenauts is doing well?

Strange because JB Hifi's fast price drop was telling me otherwise. I thought it was failing so they were trying to get rid of it.
Maybe that's why people are buying it actually...... it's so cheap.

Worldwide also means the US, and there's no doubt thousands of kids would pick up a copy.

I'm halfway through world 9. I have no idea how half of these are supposed to be solved, some of them are just stupid.

But persistence and rope will always save the day.

Took me forever too... there were heaps of times when I just quit the game until I felt like playing it again.

Lol same here, i gave up on world 4 or 5, cant remember really... I havent bothered to play my ds in ages, not even for a quickie on mario kart ds or new mario bros... I guess im just bored with the ds...
