Win! FFCC: The Crystal Bearers

Posted 2nd of February, 2010 at 09:38 pm by Infernal Monkey Infernal Monkey is offline

Thanks to the kind folks at Ubisoft, we've got five copies of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers to give away. Each copy also comes with a soundtrack CD! You can read our full review of the game here.

ENTRY DETAILS:

The Crystal Chronicles universe is populated by four tribes, each with their own symbol (check 'em out). What we want you to do is create your own tribal symbol (pen and paper, MS Paint, pudding on a wall - whatever you want to design it with), and explain what it represents. Try and keep the genetalia to a minimum, though! Competition closes 16/02/10.

Click here to send your entry. Please put 'Crystal Bearers' as the title. Have fun, and good luck!

SMALL TEXT
- Competition open to Australian residents only.
- Thanks to Merc for coming up with the competition idea!
- And thanks again to Ubisoft.
- Thanks to thanks plus thanks and the thanks and something something all the fish.

Ubisoft are so lucky to be able to publish Square Enix games in Australia. I might get onto a logo design sometime during the current week.

Ohhhhhhhhh, I read the competition as creating a symbol for a 'new race' instead of 'ourselves'

I did not think of that interpretation. That may actually be helpful, thanks.

I think the design should decide a winner, and not the quality of the file. Be it a sketch, MSPaint, or some blockbuster high definition Photoshop image.

Can we make up a design for a tribe/race that already exists or make one up and pretend we are part of that tribe/race? I already have a few designs in mind. Once this competition is over I might use it as my new avatar if I get around to drawing it.

Man I really want to enter this, but unfortunately my creativity skills are absolutely shocking. We need more "create crappy fanart" style competitions.

Entered :)

Although I didn't read "Create your own" as "create one for yourself", I made one that had nothing to do with me. I hope that doesn't bite my in the ass later :S

A design is a design. It's not asking for a hugely detailed backstory.

I've already thought of a detailed backstory for my design and for the race I plan on making it for explaining some of their history and origin. I haven't actually drawn it yet but I have an idea of the basic design.

Is there a word limit on the explanation of the design?

It's not specified, so I'd imagine you could be as detailed as you wanted. Not that it'd actually make your design itself any better or any worse, really. It just says create a design and explain what it represents.

I've finished my design now and the back story that goes with it which it is based upon. The back story is very long being over 600 words and there was nothing about a word limit so I'm assuming it's okay. You need to read the back story in order to understand it a bit more.
